Boating in the Swan's Island area

The area around Swan's island is full of interesting destinations, ranging from the many unoccupied islands, some with artifacts from the 1800's, to very good waterfront restaurants. Boating in the area can also include sightseeing Acadia National Park, and the surrounding coastline, from the water side. If you are up visiting us, or in the area while we are around, we have some options for getting out onto the waters in the area and visiting many of these destinations.

Potential Destinations

In general there are three classes of destinations of interest on the water: 1) Uninhabited islands of interest not otherwise reachable without access to a boat, 2) Popular (and populous) destinations that include shorefront restaurants, light houses and annual events, such as the Eggemoggin Reach Regatta or the local lobster boat races, and 3) Cruising up the coastline and across the bays.
